CONFERENCES AND BOOK SIGNINGS: Ms. Gregory enjoys speaking and has given both keynote speeches and workshop presentations on a variety of topics for teachers, librarians, writers, and booksellers at major conferences, libraries, bookstores, and universities across the country.

SCHOOL PRESENTATIONS: Ms. Gregory has taught every grade from kindergarten to seniors in college, and her lively school presentations are always age appropriate. Her presentations include:

-a humorous introduction to the importance of reading and writing
-an exploration of the creative process using original stories

-an introduction to how books are made using slides, galleys, artwork
-book autographing sessions

She does up to three sessions a day, plus autographing, and each session is about 45-60 minutes long. Students should be grouped by grade level.

EQUIPMENT NEEDS: Ms. Gregory brings her own digital projector, so it's helpful if you can provide a screen, but the room does not necessarily have to be darkened. Water would be appreciated. If she's speaking to a large group, a microphone is also appreciated.

If an overnight trip is required, she would rather stay in a hotel than a motel.

HONORARIUM: This should be presented to Ms. Gregory following her last presentation on the last day.  Generally speaking, her honorarium ranges from $1,000 to $1,500 a day, plus expenses, depending on various factors (if an overnight stay is required, how many sessions per day, etc.).  To discuss, please contact Balkin Buddies by phone or email.  For further information, especially about the expenses (travel, hotel, and meals), click the "Arrange An Appearance" button and see "General Information on the Cost of an Author Appearance" as well as the 'Honorariums' section near the bottom of "How to Plan an Author Appearance."
