CONFERENCES

Eloise Greenfield usually does a speech in keeping with the theme of the conference and reads from her books, unless other arrangements are made in advance. If more than one speech is requested, please discuss content and format with a representative from Balkin Buddies to make sure that everyone is clear on the topic, format, etc. Ms. Greenfield is also available to autograph as many books as needed.

SCHOOL VISITS

She does three presentations, plus autographs as many books as requested. She combines her talk about being a writer with a reading from one or more of her books. Audience participation is welcome and the presentation and book(s) she reads from are in accordance with the age level of the audience.

VIDEO AND AUDIO TAPING

Ms. Greenfield requests that no video or audio taping be made of her talks or readings.

HONORARIUM AND TRAVEL AND HOTEL EXPENSES

The honorarium is due by the end of the day of Ms. Greenfield's visit. Schools and organizations should be prepared to pay airfare and hotel charges directly to the airline and hotel respectively. Please discuss travel arrangements with Ms. Greenfield, but do please pay for her travel and hotel in advance with the hosting organization's check or credit card.

In light of the economic climate, Ms. Greenfield has modified her honorarium as follows:

For Washington, DC area schools and events, she charges these fees, plus travel and maybe a meal:

$500 for one program

$1,000 for two programs

$1,800 for three programs

For schools and events outside the Washington, DC area, she charges these fees, plus travel, hotel, and meals:

$1,800 for one to three programs a day

These rates may be somewhat negotiable in special cases, so to discuss, please contact Balkin Buddies by phone or email. Please note that Ms. Greenfield prefers a hotel to have at least a 3 diamond AAA rating. When flying, Ms. Greenfield prefers to fly out of National Airport in Washington, DC; she also prefers to fly during daylight hours, and doesn't like small planes, so do please book her on a jet that seats a minimum of 50 passengers.
